USDA Cotton Annex (Annex on 12th)
Steel Window Restoration
The project involved restoring the window walls on the north and west façades of the historic USDA Cotton Annex. Over 3,600 pieces of insulated glass were installed, replacing the original panes. The existing steel windows were carefully blasted and repaired in place before being fitted with the new insulated glass, enhancing both energy efficiency and preserving the building's historic character. Additionally, the historic copper bronze lettering reading 'Department of Agriculture,' the front entrance eagle, lamppost, steel doors, and railings along the west side of the building were meticulously restored to their original condition.
